The semi-random nature of the tentacles is what makes these pots so alive. I don’t know right until the final firing how these vessels will actually stand up as the heat of the kiln makes the porcelain tendrils move somewhat. With each unloading of a glaze firing its a magical moment to see how my pots stand up and what their character is. They really are my disturbing pottery babies.
